Um Ji-yoon revealed the origin story of Shortbox's creation.
On the 25th, MBC's Omniscient Interfering View (hereafter Omniscient Interfering View) featured Nordic skiing national team member Kim Yun-ji and Um Ji-yoon.
Um Ji-yoon introduced a manager who looks exactly like her. Everyone was shocked by how similar they looked, and Um Ji-yoon said, "I often hear that we look alike. I had a schedule yesterday and when we were going, the manager rolled down the window and called, 'Um Ji-yoon,'" she said. Jun Hyun-moo said, "I think it's one of your sub-characters," which drew laughter.
Song Eun I said, "When Won-hoon appeared on Omniscient Interfering View, he said if views reached about 2 million we would hold an emergency meeting," and Um Ji-yoon exposed, "I don't know why he says such ridiculous things."
When asked how she got to know Jo Jin-se, Kim Won-hoon, Um Ji-yoon said, "Jin-se sunbae was in the 31st class, Won-hoon sunbae was in the 30th class. I thought they were comedians who would disappear after Gag Concert ended. Each of us thought they had no talent and wondered how they became comedians," she said.
Um Ji-yoon explained the reason she created the "Shortbox" channel: "Among the junior female comedians, I stood out for acting. They were in a hurry, so they used me. Fortunately, it seems to have worked out," she said, drawing laughter.<
