On the 25th (local time), HBO announced in an official statement that Helena Bonham Carter had left the production of "The White Lotus" season 4, which was being filmed in France.
An HBO spokesperson said the reason for her departure was that "at the point when filming had just begun, it became clear that the character created by director Mike White and Helena Bonham Carter on set did not match," and added, "The role is currently being reworked and the script is being revised, and it will be recast within weeks."
