The group Cravity (CRAVITY) is raising comeback excitement to a peak with cinematic, sensory content.
Starship Entertainment recently revealed the interlude film (Interlude Film) for the eighth mini album ReDeFINE, scheduled for release on the 29th, through Cravity's (Serim, Allen, Jungmo, Woobin, Wonjin, Minhee, Hyeongjun, Taeyoung, Seongmin) official SNS channels.
The released video begins with member Minhee lighting a match. Soon, in a bright and lively mood, members are shown enjoying freedom by blowing out candles or playing with rubber bands. Serim clasps both hands together and fervently makes a wish, and Seongmin runs alone playing tag, exuding vibrant energy as if newly reborn. But when Jungmo falls while dancing, the music suddenly cuts off and an inexplicable tension fills the scene.
Gasping for breath, Jungmo awakens and the video flips to a cold, dark atmosphere completely different from before. Hyeongjun and the other members who appear from the darkness perfectly portray a restrained mood and images of disappearance, from intense expressions to hollow gazes. As the music intensifies, a strange circular cloud rises in the sky, and with everyone's gaze fixed there, the video ends on Minhee staring straight ahead with a determined look, as if having made up their mind. The framing that begins and ends with Minhee and the diverse objects stimulate curiosity about the album's hidden messages.
The new release ReDeFINE is the album that most clearly represents Cravity today. Having built their distinctive color by blending varied emotions such as fear, longing and growth into their music, they show through this album the process of breaking existing molds and constantly redefining themselves. In particular, the title track AWAKE tells of the moment thought to be the end being, in fact, another beginning, and contains a growth narrative about confronting a clearer "me" after a time of wavering.
Ahead of the full comeback, Cravity pre-released a track and fan song for Lovety (the official fandom name) on the 14th to celebrate their sixth debut anniversary, generating warmth. They also held a pop-up space event from the 26th to the 27th, providing fans with a special opportunity to experience the new album's concept more diversely and stoking comeback excitement.
Meanwhile, Cravity's eighth mini album ReDeFINE will be officially released at 6 p.m. on the 29th through various online music sites. They plan to actively promote on music shows with the title track AWAKE.
