On the 24th episode of the MBC Friday-Saturday drama 'Perfect Crown' (written by Yoo Ji-won·planned by Kang Dae-seon·produced by Jang Se-jung·directed by Park Joon-hwa, Bae Hee-young·produced by MBC, Kakao Entertainment), Seong Hee-ju (played by IU) was involved in a suspicious accident in a vehicle carrying King Lee Yun (played by Kim Eun ho), and IAAN (played by Byeon Woo-seok) suffered a shoulder injury while trying to stop it and even underwent surgery.
Seong Hee-ju learned that IAAN was injured and came to his hospital room. Seong Hee-ju said, "Why did you butt in there? Are you crazy? Is your face injured? Is your face the only thing you have to look at?" as she stroked IAAN's face, and IAAN stroked Seong Hee-ju's head and tenderly said, "You? You fainted, didn't you."
But Seong Hee-ju's secretary Do Hye-jung (played by Lee Yeon) scolded Seong Hee-ju for the chaos caused by the accident. Do Hye-jung said, "Do you really have to go through with this marriage? Didn't you get treated like a stalker, like an arsonist because you were entangled with Lord IAAN? Did IAAN even save you? Why are you both overinvesting? Only then will both he and I get what we want," delivering a straight, sharp admonition. IAAN was helplessly shaken by Seong Hee-ju's gaze.
IAAN apologized to Seong Hee-ju, and their not-quite-romance seemed to restart. Seong Hee-ju appeared at the Nae Jin-yeon and, breaking protocol, embarrassed rival Yoon I-rang (played by Gong Seung-yeon). IAAN said, "How do you walk ahead? You don't know. You always walk from behind," as he took Seong Hee-ju's hand, and Seong Hee-ju said, "You can walk with me. I'll teach you," taking his hand and stepping forward.
In the next episode preview, IAAN knelt before Seong Hee-ju in front of everyone and proposed, drawing attention.
