Son Tae-young got tired shopping with her energetic Gen Z American daughter Riho.
On the 25th, a video titled "Why American Gen Zs go crazy for street shopping in New York, explained by Son Tae-young's daughter Riho" was uploaded to the Mrs. New Jersey Son Tae-young channel.
Son Tae-young set out shopping New York hot spots popular with Gen Z New Yorkers with her daughter Riho and a family acquaintance.
They first stopped by Target in SoHo (the U.S. version of a large Asung Daiso Co.+E-MART), and Riho and her friend excitedly wandered around. Riho was immediately taken with a LEGO bouquet when she walked in, said she would buy it and hugged it to her chest, and kept looking around without resting.
After Target they headed to a cosmetics store, and Son Tae-young said, "Go see~ Kwon Riho said there's something there," and added, "Ah, these sparrows can't help but stop by the mill."
Riho carried a shopping bag almost as big as her body and led the way, directing the New York shopping, and they went into a comprehensive cosmetics boutique. Son Tae-young asked, "Did you come in because you have something to buy?" and Riho and her friend replied, "We just came to look around." Son Tae-young sighed, "Don't buy things you don't really need. You should save your allowance. I'm not coming along—I'm tired." Her reality mom moment drew laughter.
Energetic Riho exploded with energy as she visited fashion brands and Estée Lauder stores, considered the top hot spots among American Gen Zs and teens.
In response, Son Tae-young said, "They said we absolutely have to come here. Choose well and come back," and "We'll sit here," following her 12-year-old American Gen Z daughter around until she became tired and drew laughs.
Meanwhile, Son Tae-young married actor Kwon Sang-woo in 2008 and welcomed son Luk-hee in 2009 and daughter Riho in 2015. Since 2019 she has lived in New Jersey, and she currently communicates with fans through the YouTube channel Mrs. New Jersey Son Tae-young.
