In "십오야," Lee Hyori looked back on her top-star days and told the story of how she came to focus on yoga.
On the 24th, a video titled "Nanda Ginda Ananda Lee Hyori teacher's namaste yoga class—Egg Culture Center" was posted on the "십오야" channel.
Appearing as a yoga instructor in her 12th year, Lee Hyori explained, "Through yoga you can gradually change emotions or temperament. Hatha yoga balances the body and mind."
After teaching some simple yoga moves, Lee Hyori said, "When people criticize you, you have to wait and accept it; if you label it, a bigger problem arises," and added, "When the body has pain, you should try to endure it and stay still."
Lee Hyori said, "If I only do what suits me, I become one-sided, so after practicing yoga I try things that don't suit me," and added, "Then surprisingly it's okay; my work and my thinking expand." Lee Hyori said, "In the past I only looked at and liked what I loved. Now I open everything up and look," and said, "People who say yoga doesn't suit them are the ones who really need yoga," sharing her philosophy.
Lee Hyori said, "Living 24 hours a day, it's not easy to focus on myself; yoga lets me fully concentrate." She added, "I like when there's no thought in my head. Even without meditation, I recommend finding your own way."
When asked what it feels like to live as Lee Hyori in Korea, she looked back, "During my top-star days it passed in a blur; I was arrogant," and said, "People around me made it that way. 'You just sit still' was a natural thing to say; I thought maybe I could do that too." She recalled it was a time when she feared nothing and was bold. Lee Hyori said, "Still, when that disappears later there is a sense of loss," and added, "Living without those things is rather better. It would be nice to live calmly," drawing laughter.
Also a top star who lived on Jeju Island for more than 10 years, when asked about life in Seoul Lee Hyori said, "When I first came to Seoul it was hard; everything I like is in Jeju," and added, "Surprisingly, Sangsoon oppa likes the city; he's the opposite of me." Lee Hyori said, "My husband likes cultural life and convenience, so life has become easier, but the nostalgia for Jeju remains, and opening the yoga studio helped with that," she said.
