Lucas, formerly of the group NCT, has ended his exclusive contract with SM Entertainment.
On April 24, the agency SM Entertainment posted a notice on the fan community platform Weverse announcing the termination of the exclusive contract.
On that day SM Entertainment said, "We sincerely thank the fans who have given Lucas much love and interest," and added, "Our exclusive contract with Lucas will end as of April 24."
It added, "We will cherish the times we built with Lucas from his trainee days through the diverse activities he has shown since debut, and we will support Lucas's next challenges."
Meanwhile, Lucas debuted with NCT in 2018 and was active, but stopped activities amid personal life controversies, withdrew from NCT and WayV in 2023, and turned to a solo career.
