Comedian Kim Ji-min opened up about a past when she struggled with burnout.
On the 17th episode of SBS Plus' Lee Ho-seon's Cider, which airs at 10 a.m. on the 25th, under the theme "The world of the married heading toward catastrophe," stories more extreme than real life pour out, delivering shock and immersion at the same time.
In this broadcast, Kim Ji-min displays her distinctive wit as she reveals an episode related to her wedding with husband Kim Jun-Ho. Kim Ji-min said, "The most memorable congratulatory gift amount was 30,000 won," prompting Lee Ho-seon to elicit laughter with the fact-bomb "A remarriage?" At that moment, Kim Ji-min revealed that the person in question was actor Cha Taehyun, which surprised listeners. Viewers are curious about why national actor Cha Taehyun gave a mere 30,000 won as a congratulatory gift.
Then Kim Ji-min said, "I think I was born to do comedy. I seem to have been born funny from my mother's womb; the work fits me so well," expressing satisfaction with her work, and Lee Ho-seon warmly offered encouragement as well.
But the bright mood lasted only briefly, as Kim Ji-min revealed, "There was a time when I had so much work that, to outsiders, it looked like a happy life, but I experienced burnout," reversing the atmosphere. She confessed, "At the time I lived alone in a 13th-floor officetel, and as soon as I entered the house I ran back outside. Looking down, I thought, 'People suddenly have such dizzying thoughts,'" which made the scene solemn.
In her moment of despair, Kim Ji-min called an unexpected person for help, and she said that when she met that person and held hands, she cried for two hours straight, making the scene solemn. Everyone wondered who the benefactor was who stayed by Kim Ji-min's side in her moment of crisis.
Kim Ji-min also became upset over the story of a "husband pleading in a two-household-style mediation" who lacked mediation skills and, despite trying to intervene in front of his mother-in-law for his wife, only made things worse, saying, "He really has no tact." She then exposed, "Jun-Ho oppa is also really similar," turning the studio into a sea of laughter. The vivid behind-the-scenes story of what mediation Kim Jun-Ho will display amid mother-in-law and daughter-in-law conflict will be revealed.
The production team said, "Not only Lee Ho-seon's refreshing solutions to prevent the collapse of real couples, but also Kim Ji-min's painful confession hidden behind her cheerful appearance will deeply resonate and comfort viewers," and added, "Please look forward to the vivid behind-the-scenes story of the Kim Ji-min–Kim Jun-Ho couple that moves between laughter and tears."
