Singer Choi Yoo-jung expressed overwhelming emotion about I.O.I's full-group reunion.
On the 22nd, a video titled "So what did we.. say? (W/ I.O.I Choi Yoo-jung)" was uploaded to the "Happy Hae-eun" channel.
That day, Choi Yoo-jung visited Seong Hae-eun's home and spent time together. Choi Yoo-jung explained, "Today I went to a gathering where we received wedding invitations, then went to a meeting. I also put in gas."
Currently preparing for I.O.I's reunion activities, Choi Yoo-jung said, "We will make a comeback in May. Before the concert," updating her fans. In response, Seong Hae-eun said, "I'm so curious about the song," and Choi Yoo-jung, embarrassed, replied, "Are you suddenly asking me to spoil it?"
Seong Hae-eun asked, "Will you come back as sisters with a metallic vibe?", and Choi Yoo-jung replied, "Unfortunately, we are girls who dream. It suits I.O.I 10 years later very well. It's pleasant and enjoyable to listen to," adding a gesture that was presumed to be a spoiler, increasing curiosity.
Seong Hae-eun said, "I was originally such an I.O.I fan and among them I was a fan of Choi Yoo-jung, and now being here with Choi Yoo-jung and Choi Yoo-jung coming back as I.O.I, really," expressing overwhelming emotion.
Choi Yoo-jung also said emotionally, "You said you liked me when I was in I.O.I, and being able to show myself again as I.O.I is so great. I was a high school sophomore then."
Seong Hae-eun said, "(Doing the concert) for three days seems like it will be tiring," and Choi Yoo-jung replied, "It will pass quickly, though." Seong Hae-eun then said, "And how much you wished for this," and Choi Yoo-jung recalled with a choked-up emotion, "It feels like a dream. We're in the process now, but even while practicing and whenever I do anything, I cry so much."
Then Seong Hae-eun asked, "Only you? Everyone together?", and Choi Yoo-jung said, "Only me. They told me to go to the hospital," and confessed, "I think my empathy is too strong. So even today while receiving wedding invitations, I cried."
Afterward, the two continued their conversation while eating delivery food together. Choi Yoo-jung showed a practice video and impersonated, "I didn't know I would cry, but while practicing choreography I cried, so (Kim) Se-jeong unni said, 'Hey, Doyeon cried yesterday too. Doyeon cried too.'"
Seong Hae-eun was surprised and said, "But you imitate well," and Choi Yoo-jung said, "All our members imitate Se-jeong unni. If she says one line like 'Oh, that's nice,' the other eight echo it like a ripple," conveying the members' chemistry.
Seong Hae-eun said, "As an I.O.I fan, this is truly like a dream. But I can so understand and empathize with your position that I think I wouldn't want this practice period to end," and Choi Yoo-jung revealed, "That's why I keep filming more to capture more. I'm taking photos and videos."
Seong Hae-eun emphasized, "Make vlogs too. Many people will be very curious about your practice," and Choi Yoo-jung said, "I should do that," raising expectations.
Meanwhile, nine I.O.I members, excluding Joo Kyul-kyung and Kang Mina, will reunite and release a new record on May 19, nine years after disbandment. In addition, from May 29 they will hold "2026 I.O.I Concert Tour: LOOP," starting in Seoul and meeting fans directly in major Asian cities such as Bangkok and Hong Kong.
