2PM member and actor Ok Taecyeon will hold his wedding at a venue chosen by many chaebols and top stars.
According to OSEN reporting on the 23rd, Ok Taecyeon will hold his wedding on the afternoon of the 24th at the Shilla Hotel state banquet hall in Jangchung-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul.
The state banquet hall has previously been chosen as a wedding venue by many chaebols and prominent figures in politics and finance, as well as many top stars including Jang Dongkeon and Go So-young, Yu Jae-seok and Na Kyung-eun, Kwon Sang-woo and Son Tae-young, Jun Ji-hyun. Under tight security, the outdoor wedding is held with a hanok as the background, and has been popular as a private wedding venue that harmonizes traditional and modern bright wedding elements.
At the event, Ok Taecyeon will light the wedding candles amid congratulatory songs by 2PM members, including emcee duties by 2PM member Hwang Chan-sung. According to multiple entertainment industry sources, recently 2PM members have been practicing together at the JYP Entertainment rehearsal room to prepare for a full-group Tokyo Dome concert in Japan this coming May. It is said they are heating up preparations for the concert while celebrating Ok Taecyeon's wedding.
Ok Taecyeon's marriage was announced in November last year. Earlier, after Ok Taecyeon revealed in 2020 that he was dating a non-celebrity girlfriend, in February last year a proposal photo surfaced showing him on one knee in Paris, France, offering a ring to his girlfriend, effectively confirming the marriage. He later announced the marriage himself on his personal social media, saying, "I promised to spend my life with the one person who has trusted me for a long time. We will be strong supports for each other and walk the rest of our lives together."
Later, the newlyweds' home was revealed through interior designer Park Ji-hyun, and with the wedding news set for the 24th, it drew even more attention. Ok Taecyeon's wedding will be held privately with only family and close acquaintances attending to consider his non-celebrity wife.
Meanwhile, after his wedding Ok Taecyeon will continue active work, including the 2PM Tokyo Dome concert and Netflix "Soulmate".
