Actress and director Park Haemee recounted a dizzying experience she had during a past shoot.
On the 22nd broadcast of TV CHOSUN PerfecT Life, Park Haemee appeared as a guest and talked about health.
Park Haemee, who maintains a youthful appearance at age 62 through strict self-care, when asked about health concerns said "I don't have any major illnesses. I sleep well and I'm not in pain. I'm healthy in many ways, actually," she said.
In response, Lee Seongmi asked, "To be honest, it's awkward to say this, but I'm only five years younger than you. But my whole body is in an emergency. Seeing how healthy you are, didn't you go through menopause? Weren't you struggling then?"
Then Park Haemee said, "I passed through menopause without knowing it. I just felt hot on my own and fanned myself. Others were fine. I think I lived without noticing it. Then I had a full health checkup for the first time. They checked me from head to toe. Don't polyps usually appear in the colon? They said they couldn't find any. It was clean. The doctor said it was so strange that they went to the end. At the end there was a big mass coiled up," she said.
In particular, she said, "I'm the type who doesn't get stressed easily, but once, four to five years ago, I was touring performances in Busan while filming a drama in Seoul, so I had to keep taking the train back and forth and it was really exhausting, actually. Because of that, while filming the drama I suddenly kept flubbing my lines. I usually don't flub, right? It was truly embarrassing, but I think I did it about 10 times," she said, recounting the abnormal symptoms she experienced.
She continued, "So I said, 'I'm sorry. I think my body isn't well. I should go to the hospital.' So I quickly finished my part and went. When I got there, the hospital suddenly went into a commotion. They told me to come inside quickly. My blood pressure rose to 220," she said, surprising everyone.
Park Haemee explained, "In conclusion, it wasn't high blood pressure but stress. It hasn't happened since then." Hyunyoung asked, "Has your blood pressure properly returned?" and Park Haemee said, "Yes," indicating she soon stabilized.
