Go Woo-ri, formerly of the group Rainbow, clarified remarks she made about her husband related to obstetrics and gynecology.
On the 23rd, a video titled "The one who gave birth Jung Yoon-hye, the one who will give birth Noul and Na-eun, and Go Woo-ri chatting away" was released on Go Woo-ri's YouTube channel Go! Uri. Go Woo-ri talked with Rainbow members Jung Yoon-hye and Noul about pregnancy-related stories regarding a second child.
Jung Yoon-hye said, "Watching my sister's YouTube, hyungbu is just... Why would he say that? I feel so sorry for him. I even thought maybe I should call him separately; I feel so sorry for hyungbu. He's not that kind of person," she said.
Go Woo-ri emphasized, "Now he goes with me." Earlier on her YouTube channel, when announcing her pregnancy and talking about going to the obstetrician alone, Go Woo-ri said, "Actually my husband is not the type to go to those places. He's kind of like, 'Huh? Why me?' that kind of style," attracting attention. The remark sparked some controversy.
Go Woo-ri asked Jung Yoon-hye, "How was it for you? Did he always go with you?" Jung Yoon-hye said, "Not always; I was so angry I didn't take him. I should have done gender reveal, but I was so mad I didn't take him. I didn't want him to see once or twice. But that was really petty. It felt like some kind of my privilege," she said.
She added, "I was so angry when I was looking at the 3D ultrasound and someone said, 'Hmm, looks like ET.' It made me furious," she confessed.
Go Woo-ri agreed, saying, "They're all the same. I went with him at five or six weeks. But they were like, 'It's a bean, a bean.' They say it's the size of a bean. They're all the same," empathizing with husbands' remarks.
Jung Yoon-hye explained the difference in position, saying, "It's not that you must always go to the hospital together, but for important moments. Fathers also work, and, of course, mothers work too, but they can't always take time off every time. So for crucial things, if they don't go it can feel a bit hurtful, but it doesn't have to be every time."
Go Woo-ri said, "But now I'm 13 weeks. What I meant was that I went alone when I was preparing for IVF. That's why I said I didn't go together. It was a slip of the tongue," and acknowledged, "I apologized. I tried to be funny and I overdid it."
Go Woo-ri married a non-celebrity businessman five years her senior in October 2022 and recently announced her pregnancy.
