Singer Soyou confessed to having been caught up in an absurd rumor.
On the 22nd, a new video titled "How rumors spread in this scene" was posted on the YouTube channel "Okiki."
That day, Soyou mentioned a rumor she heard from K.WILL and recalled, "It was a birthday party for a senior sister I'm close with. Toward the end I got drunk and immediately called my manager and said, 'I'll go downstairs.' I know that person came. And I greeted them and then I left."
Soyou said, "But suddenly at some point the rumor started to be heard. They said I cursed that person out and yelled, 'Why did you do that?' But I'm really not that kind of person," expressing her indignation.
She continued, "So I contacted the people who were at the place. I asked 3 to 4 people, 'Did I make a mistake that day?' and they said, 'What are you talking about? You left like that.' Then I wondered where this rumor came from, and I met K.WILL at an airport lounge," she said.
She added, "He called me over and said, 'I heard something about you; you shouldn't do that.' I was so upset that I cried and said, 'I never did that,'" she lamented.
Soyou said, "Later I ran into that person at someone's wedding. When we talked, they said, 'Oh, I just said that as a joke; we were talking among ourselves and embellished it, and I didn't know it would hurt you that much. I'm sorry,'" she revealed.
Soyou also said, "That was one of the biggest reasons I stopped going out much. If I go to a place with many people, these kinds of rumors will spread. So I avoid crowded places," she said.
