Mnet's 'Street World Fighter: Director's War' teaser was made private shortly after its release.
On the 23rd, Mnet told OSEN, "The teaser was produced to introduce the show's planning intent and the role of the performance directors. However, we confirmed that some interview excerpts were conveyed in a way that differed from their original context, so the video has been made private," it said in an official statement.
It added, "We will exercise greater caution and review more carefully throughout the production process going forward."
Earlier, on the 21st Mnet announced the launch of 'Street World Fighter: Director's War' (hereafter 'SWF') on its official channel and released a 40-second teaser.
The released video featured choreography directors active in various fields and mentioned stages such as the Mnet Asian Music Awards, Coachella and the Super Bowl halftime show.
However, after the video was released, choreographer Kira Harper said, "I did not appear on this program nor did I speak in the video. The production staff asked who I had danced with, and I only answered that I had stood on the Super Bowl stage with Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg," and confessed her embarrassment, saying, "This editing is really crazy."
Meanwhile, the new Mnet dance survival show 'Street World Fighter: Director's War' will air in August.
