Phoebe (Phoebe, Im Seong-han) writer's trademark signature scene returns to living rooms once again.
In TV CHOSUN weekend miniseries 'Doctor Shin', which has only four episodes left until the finale, Baek Seora and Joo Se bin will send tension soaring with a "singing showdown" that generates spine-chilling horror. The ending of 'Doctor Shin', which combines a daring "brain change" medical thriller with Phoebe's distinctive four-way passionate romance, is drawing attention.
Notably, episode 12, which aired on the 19th, recorded a peak minute rating of 2% according to Nielsen Korea, marking its highest rating to date.
In the previous broadcast, Shin Ju-shin (played by Jung Yi-chan) and Geum Ba-ra (played by Joo Se bin), and Momo (played by Baek Seora), who has the brain of Ha Yong-jung (played by An Woo Yeon) and Kim Jin-ju, each decided to marry, shocking viewers. Meanwhile, in episode 13, which will air on the 25th, Baek Seora and Joo Se bin form a chilly atmosphere when they meet alone at a karaoke.
In the released footage, Momo suddenly steps onto the stage, passionately singing along with a dance, and Geum Ba-ra, watching this, freezes like ice as she recalls someone. Writer Im Seong-han has previously included drinking and entertainment scenes in her works to refresh the atmosphere or depict characters, which has generated major buzz and sometimes controversy. This "karaoke scene" is also expected to become a key point of the drama beyond mere entertainment.
Baek Seora and Joo Se bin flawlessly portrayed sharply contrasting emotional lines in this scene. Baek Seora delivered a multi-dimensional performance, alternating between a desire-filled expression possessed by Kim Jin-ju and a playful singing ability, while Joo Se bin naturally depicted a turbulent psychological state beneath a stiff expression, increasing immersion.
The production team said, "The viewing point of episode 13 is how far Momo, who is Kim Jin-ju in appearance and is about to marry Ha Yong-jung, will run wild in her burning desire for revenge," adding, "As a four-way romantic melodrama, viewers will be able to taste heart-pounding tension like never before."
