Actors Byeon Woo-seok and IU revealed an episode caused by a 30cm height difference.
IU and Byeon Woo-seok, who are working together on the MBC Friday-Saturday drama Perfect Crown, appeared on "What if the ex who cheated 10 years ago returns as a "daegun" and flirts?" released on the YouTube channel "Youin Radio" on the 22nd.
On that day IU explained why she chose the project, saying, "I read it right away and replied right away. I read up to episode 4 and was so curious about the next development that I wanted to do it."
Byeon Woo-seok also said, "I felt the same. And there was a bit of the unexpected. It felt like, 'Suddenly?' and I think that's how I got drawn in. I read it on a plane during an overseas schedule and the moment I read it, it was 'this.'"
Afterwards IU did not spare praise for Byeon Woo-seok. IU said, "Actually, with someone like Woo-seok, it was like that from his first appearance. I started filming a few days earlier. It takes a few episodes until you are fully immersed in your character, right? I started first, and there were times I felt I was wandering a bit. I watched Woo-seok's first shoot and from his entrance he came in as the Ian daegun."
Byeon Woo-seok also bashfully said, "When I had my first shoot with IU, I just thought of Seong Hee-ju. Because I can express the character more with clothes and such, I guess it felt that way." In response, Youin-na said, "He really is a prince," expressing admiration for Byeon Woo-seok.
IU also mentioned the time lag caused by the height difference with Byeon Woo-seok, drawing laughter. IU laughed and recounted the episode, saying, "There is a bit of a time lag. From when I speak until it is conveyed to Woo-seok. How comfortable it is to sit and talk. If you stand and talk, it takes a while before an answer comes back. It can't be helped. Because we're in such different spaces."
