Actor Han Guru's son voiced his troubles with English.

That day Han Guru took the children to Bohol, Philippines, with parent acquaintances from Cheongdam-dong. They marveled at the wide ocean view near their lodging. Han Guru exclaimed, "This is really nice. I didn't know Bohol was such a beautiful place."
Afterward, they ate at an aquaculture restaurant in front of the beach. Meanwhile, an acquaintance's daughter tried to order additional items in English, and Han Guru explained the situation, saying, "Bomi bravely spoke up, but the server must not have heard her."
They were able to place the additional order with the help of the acquaintance, and he said, "You have to speak loudly. It comes to the mother." Another acquaintance encouraged, "If you speak confidently, they understand everything."

Meanwhile, Han Guru married a businessman nine years her senior in a private ceremony in 2015 and gave birth to twins, but announced her divorce in 2022. Since then Han Guru has been raising the two children alone. In particular, she drew attention for her conviction not to put her children through private education despite living in education-driven Cheongdam-dong. Han Guru candidly said, "If it's necessary, I think the children will bring it up first. I think it's not too late to start when the children desperately want it."
