"Welcome, It's My First Time in Korea?" is expected to move viewers with a new story about a Canadian family after Paco, the Korean enthusiast from France.
On the 22nd, MBC Every1's Welcome, It's My First Time in Korea? (abbreviated Welcome, Korea) released the stories of new cast members who will appear starting on the 23rd. They are a six-member extended family from Montreal, Canada.
Earlier, on Welcome, Korea, to mark the reboot's first broadcast, Paco, a Korean enthusiast from Paris, France, attracted attention when he visited Korea with local friends. Paco had also been very popular on YouTube. As a result, as soon as the Paco and friends episode of Welcome, Korea began, Paco ranked first in variety show cast buzz for two consecutive weeks, generating significant attention.
Following that, the second act of the Welcome, Korea reboot features a Canadian family. They are expected to provide touching moments with their extraordinary story.
According to the production team of Welcome, Korea, the protagonists of this trip are the couple Sebastian and Édith and their four children. They are traveling the world with their four lovable children: eldest Mia, second-born Léo, third-born Colin, and youngest Laurent. Among them, Mia looks after her siblings like a "K-eldest daughter," Léo is a mischievous mood maker, Colin boasts a distinctive charm, and Laurent is the beloved youngest, each showing a different presence.
Notably, they know that three of their children may lose their sight when they become adults due to a rare disease. Therefore, before their children lose their vision, the parents are conducting a family world tour so the children can capture as much of the world as possible with their eyes and memories. Among those destinations, they chose Korea.
Regarding this, PD Jeon Min-kyung, who directed Welcome, Korea, told OSEN in a phone interview, "There is no guest more suitable for Welcome, Korea than a Canadian family traveling the world to show their children as much of the broader world as possible. Please watch the stories of parents and families who want to show their children as much as possible." It remains to be seen whether Welcome, Korea will once again move viewers following Paco.
