Actor Moon Geun-young confessed about the time she cried alone after surgery for acute compartment syndrome.
Cable channel tvN's variety show "You Quiz on the Block" released a pre-release video on its official channel on the 22nd titled "The nation's little sister Moon Geun-young returns! The rare disease emergency surgery recovery story and an unexpected 40s pursuit of taste." The episode featuring Moon Geun-young will air at 8:45 p.m.
On the day, Moon Geun-young spoke about the acute compartment syndrome she was diagnosed with in 2017, saying, "The golden time may have already passed and necrosis may have begun. So we need to start emergency surgery quickly," and "I think I cried when I heard that the nerves in my fingers might not recover, that it was too serious there. I always cried alone."
After surgery and rehabilitation, Moon Geun-young said, "The doctor said, 'Soon you'll be able to play rock-paper-scissors. Let's play rock-paper-scissors soon and the winner will buy something tasty,'" she recalled.
When Yu Jae-seok said, "That must have brought tears," Moon Geun-young laughed and said, "But I don't think I felt that strong an emotion. I thought I should win at rock-paper-scissors to get something tasty, I didn't think, 'How touching.'"
Moon Geun-young said, "The doctor told me, 'Eat everything you want. You must have been dieting and unable to eat what you wanted. You have to eat what you want to get better quickly,'" adding, "My wish was to eat popcorn in a movie theater while watching a film. The first thing I did was go to a theater and get the largest size popcorn, caramel and cheese popcorn. I thought, 'So this is what movies taste like.'"
Moon Geun-young also mentioned, "I thought I want to live life a little more exuberantly. Eheradiya," referring to her 40s pursuit of taste.
