Actor Jung Seok-won reiterated his special feelings after experiencing two miscarriages and having a daughter.
On the 22nd, a video titled "Jung Seok-won's parenting philosophy that a daughter is better than a son" was posted on singer Baek Z Young's YouTube channel.
That day, Jung Seok-won and Baek Z Young congratulated the production staff after hearing the pregnancy news. Later, when asked about his feelings when he was expecting his daughter Haim, he opened up, said, "I had two miscarriages. Because of that, I didn't have such high expectations. I just thought let's live well together, this person and I."
Jung Seok-won continued, "When she actually was born, she was pretty. She's very close to me. When I first had a baby, I took care of her by myself. When this person went to perform in the U.S., it was just the two of us, and that was better. That time with my daughter was a gift," showing special affection.
When the production staff said they hoped their second child would be a daughter, Jung Seok-won showed his doting father side, saying, "Now that I actually have a daughter, it's so nice. Daughters are more gentle, cute, full of aegyo, and lovable."
He added an anecdote that drew attention, saying, "There was a time when boys and girls had a joint birthday party. I got mobbed. The boys came. A boy was standing up here and casually pushed. I was used to playing only with my daughter, so I couldn't handle it."
Baek Z Young and Jung Seok-won overcame a nine-year age gap and married in 2013. They later had a daughter, Haim. They communicate with fans through their YouTube channel.
