Broadcaster Hong Seok-cheon rescued a woman at the Songkran Festival in Bangkok.
On the 22nd, Hong Seok-cheon posted on his personal Instagram, "The Bangkok Songkran festival is a water festival to welcome the new year, but accidents happen every year. News reports say that this year there were 191 deaths and hundreds of injuries," and released a video.
In the released video, Hong Seok-cheon is seen moving a woman who collapsed during the festival together with security personnel and acquaintances.
Hong Seok-cheon said, "There are many traffic accidents, but because drug use and drinking are excessive, many young people lose their precious lives. I was invited as a festival DJ, so I participated in Songkran this time."
He added that while enjoying time with his younger companions at another festival, he moved a Thai woman who collapsed from drinking and hypothermia to a safe place, and it was fortunate that it did not lead to a major accident.
Hong Seok-cheon advised, "If you spend a long time in water while intoxicated, dancing and shouting, you can suddenly go into shock or hypothermia, so be especially careful," and urged, "There will be various festivals this summer, so above all enjoy them safely. Youth is beautiful, but act responsibly."
Finally, Hong Seok-cheon added, "I wonder if that Thai woman knows that I am Hong Seok-cheon?? haha," drawing laughter.
