Singer MC MONG's corporation TheMU sold a building in Sinsa-dong, Gangnam, to broadcaster Ro Hong-chul. The sale price is 15.5 billion won
On the 22nd, Financial News reported that TheMU recently sold the building in Sinsa-dong, Gangnam District, which it bought from broadcaster Kang Ho-dong for 16.6 billion won, to Ro Hong-chul for 15.2 billion won.
According to reports, TheMU sold the building to Ro Hong-chul just a year and a half after purchasing it, and Ro Hong-chul is reported to have bought it with most of the amount borrowed. The building spans basement level 1 to five aboveground floors, with a site area of 253.95㎡ and a building area of 593.17㎡.
MC MONG bought it for 16.6 billion won and sold it for 15.2 billion won, taking a loss of about 1.4 billion won. Considering acquisition and registration taxes, loan interest, and others, an actual loss of more than 2 billion won is expected.
Earlier owner Kang Ho-dong bought the building in 2018 for 14.1 billion won and sold it six years later for a market gain of 2.5 billion won.
The new owner, Ro Hong-chul, purchased the building earlier this month and recently completed the transfer of ownership, and a mortgage was set on the building at the same time as the ownership transfer.
The maximum claim amount is 18 billion won, and considering that the maximum claim amount is typically about 120–130% of the actual loan amount, the actual loan is understood to be about 14 billion to 15 billion won.
In addition, Ro Hong-chul is reported to have offered his existing building, which he acquired in 2018 for about 12.2 billion won, as joint collateral in the process of purchasing the building.<
