A popular creator, Subingsu, who has about 1.28 million subscribers, has left Korea and begun living overseas.
On the 20th, Subingsu uploaded a video titled "Why a 1.28 million-subscriber YouTuber settled in Southeast Asia" to his personal YouTube channel. In the released video, Subingsu explained the situation and background of formally settling in Vietnam.
He first said, "I am now in Da Nang, Vietnam. You must have been surprised when you saw the title. The reason I'm in Vietnam now is that I have started living overseas in earnest," he said. He noted, "I mentioned this in earlier videos as well, but living abroad has been my goal since I was young. I believe that being thrown into an unfamiliar but bigger world is how I can grow," he said, explaining his intent.
In particular, Subingsu said, "Saying I will settle and live there means my life must be comfortable in that country and I must be able to engage in economic activity. I am very interested in overseas business and have prepared a lot for it. To start overseas business in earnest, market research is the most important thing, so I came out here myself and plan to shoot a lot of good content," he explained.
He added, "Korean infrastructure is better than I expected. There are so many Koreans and Korean businesses here that it could be called 'Gyeonggi-do Da Nang city.' Honestly, without Korean infrastructure it would have felt very stifling. But there are many Vietnamese people who speak Korean, so there is almost no difficulty in living here," he emphasized.
Above all, Subingsu said, "The third reason is a very personal and important part. I've been in very poor health recently. My body is very cold, and when the temperature drops my body hurts," adding, "But the only countries where I didn't gain weight while traveling were Malta and Vietnam. The commonality of the two countries was their mild weather. Because my body is cold, warm countries suit me well," he added.
