Webtoon artist and broadcaster Kian84 stepped up to help elderly people who collect recyclables.
On the 21st, a video titled "Donated 100 million to Kian84 and the elderly who collect recyclables." was uploaded to the "CelebIn" channel.
That day, Joo Geung-jeong invited Kian84 as the first guest of the "donation planner" content. He explained, "The reason I started the donation planner is that in the ongoing process of donating with (Kian84) hyung, we were always thinking about how we could be more helpful and planned accordingly. So I thought that if we showed the actual planning process and results through the donation planner, viewers might join in, so I did it."
Having previously performed a good deed by depositing 1 million won into the bank accounts of orphanage children through the first "100 challenge," Kian84, when asked about his impressions of the children's feedback, encouraged viewers by saying, "Donations are used well, but knowing who receives them makes it feel more rewarding and provides more motivation, so it was enjoyable. The selection criteria for this "100 challenge" were "100 people among the elderly who collect recyclables in Seodaemun District Office who need help, are in welfare blind spots, or have low income," they said. Joo Geung-jeong and Kian84 met some of the target elderly in person, talked with them and handed over 1 million won each.
Meeting the elderly, Kian84 said, "First of all, thank you for your hard work. I'm grateful that because of you we can do meaningful work every year, and you're busy with your business, so it must have taken a lot of time to look into this, so thank you for checking it out," he greeted. In response, Joo Geung-jeong said, "No, even as a donation planner, I feel proud and happy to really help with this planning, but I always wonder where the donor's happiness from donating comes from.
