The Boyz notified One Hundred Label of termination of their exclusive contract citing unpaid settlements and other reasons, and filed a complaint accusing Cha Ga-won of embezzlement. However, One Hundred Label rebutted The Boyz's claims in an official statement.
On the 21st, according to The Boyz, they recently, through their legal representative, filed a complaint against Cha Ga-won for violation of the Act on Aggravated Punishment of Specific Economic Crimes (embezzlement).
Earlier, the legal representative for the nine members of The Boyz excluding New (Sangyeon, Jacob, Younghoon, Hyunjae, Juyeon, Kevin, Q, Sunwoo, Eric) said One Hundred Label's serious breach of the exclusive contract and the resulting irreparable damage to the relationship of trust were the reasons for notifying termination of the exclusive contract on Feb. 10, 2026, and accordingly the exclusive contract was lawfully terminated and its effect ended.
In particular, The Boyz asserted nonpayment of settlements and emphasized that the management company abandoned its basic and essential duties under the exclusive contract by refusing, without justifiable reason, multiple requests by the artists to inspect basic documents such as the contract so the artists could verify the transparency of settlements.
However, One Hundred Label rebutted that it cannot accept The Boyz members' request to terminate the exclusive contracts, and The Boyz ultimately filed a complaint with the Seoul Central District Court, where the first hearing in the injunction lawsuit to suspend the effect of the exclusive contract was held on the 20th.
With The Boyz criminally accusing Cha Ga-won of embezzlement, the legal dispute is expected to continue. In response to the filing of such a complaint, One Hundred Label issued an official statement on the 21st, rebutting that it can no longer tolerate the artists' legal representative's distortion of facts and malicious manipulation of public opinion.
One Hundred Label argued that the legal inconsistency of the very filing of the complaint is demonstrated by the police investigation team's refusal to consolidate the cases regarding Cha Ga-won's embezzlement charges, and said that after the Seoul Yongsan Police Station received the embezzlement case it requested consolidation with Team 6, Division 1, Financial Crime Investigation Unit, Metropolitan Investigation Division of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, which is currently investigating Cha Ga-won, but the request was ultimately refused.
One Hundred Label also emphasized that an accounting firm's audit confirmed there were no embezzlement facts, and said it has clearly confirmed that there was no misappropriation of funds or embezzlement.
It added that One Hundred Label believes the escalation of conflict and the worsening of the situation stemming from unfounded lawsuits is attributable not entirely to the artists' intentions but to the intentions of the artists' legal representative, and said it will never compromise with unfair acts that incite artists to attack the company.
Finally, One Hundred Label said it will fight to the end in court to reveal the truth and to protect the company's honor and the artists.
