Actor Patrick Muldoon, well known for the popular U.S. drama "Our Lives (Days of Our Lives)" and the film "Starship Troopers," has died of a heart attack. He was 57.
On the 20th (local time), according to foreign outlets including Deadline and TMZ, Patrick Muldoon died suddenly of a heart attack at his home in Beverly Hills, California, on the 19th.
The deceased's sister, Shana Muldoon Zappa, said, "After Patrick spent time Sunday morning with his partner Miriam Roushbart and went to take a shower, it took too long, so when she checked, he was lying on the bathroom floor." Emergency responders were dispatched after the report, but Patrick Muldoon was pronounced dead at the scene, it was reported.
Known among friends and acquaintances by the nickname "Bobo," he was described as warm and generous. A close associate paid tribute, saying, "He lit up those around him with his poetry, humor and unique presence," and noted, "He loved people and animals and had a rare gift for putting others at ease."
Muldoon, who played football at the University of Southern California (USC), made his debut while in college on the sitcom "Who's the Boss?" He later made a name for himself as Jeff, Kelly's boyfriend, on the popular teen drama "Saved by the Bell."
His signature role was Austin Reed on "Our Lives," which he appeared on from 1992. He also gained great popularity as Richard Hart on "Melrose Place," and left a strong impression on movie fans worldwide as Zander Bacallo in the 1997 sci-fi epic "Starship Troopers."
He did not remain only an actor but also showed his abilities as a producer. Recently he was serving as executive producer on the film "Kockroach," starring Chris Hemsworth, Taron Egerton and Zazie Beetz, which was about to be released, and he also showed versatility by performing as the lead vocalist of the rock band "Sleeping Masses."
