The group's BTS legend self-produced content 'Run BTS' returns in a more powerful, laugh-packed '2.0' version.
BTS released a teaser for the first episode of the newly launched 'Run BTS 2.0,' titled 'BTS's TRIP,' on the team's official YouTube channel at 9 p.m. on the 20th, capturing the attention of fans around the world.
The first episode of 'Run BTS 2.0' will be released on the 23rd at 9 p.m. on the team's official YouTube channel and the global superfan platform Weverse. Even though the previously released teaser is a short video of about 50 seconds, it is filled with the members' uninhibited variety show skills and real daily life, raising anticipation for the full episode to a peak.
The released teaser depicts the members' free-spirited 모습 on a group trip. The members, who briefly set aside the glamorous epithet '21st century pop icons,' inspire laughter with innocent mischief such as crawling on the accommodation floor or hiding under a table.
In particular, the intense pillow fight, a jokgu match where competitive spirit explodes, and scenes of members standing side by side engrossed in cooking are viewing highlights that show a charm 180 degrees different from their stage charisma. Scenes of members raising their hands and standing as punishment and other moments suggest that BTS's close chemistry will continue intact in 'Run BTS 2.0.'
First shown in 2015, 'Run BTS' established itself as a signature content of BTS and has received the absolute support of the global ARMY. The cumulative YouTube views of regular episodes aired through 2021 and the special content released afterward total about 270 million, demonstrating powerful influence. Attention is focused on what new records their delightful run over about nine years will write under the name '2.0.'
BTS's main work activities are also dazzling. According to the latest Billboard chart previews, BTS's fifth full-length album Arirang reached No. 3 on the main album chart Billboard 200, and the title track Swim ranked No. 10 on the main song chart Hot 100, enjoying a long run for four consecutive weeks.
Having conquered both variety shows and the charts, BTS will kick off the full-fledged North American tour starting with the BTS World Tour 'ARIRANG' performances at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida, on the 25th–26th and the 28th.<
