On the 21st, Coupang Play released the first teaser video for the new variety show "Bonjour Bakery."
"Bonjour Bakery" is a healing baking variety show set in Korea's first senior dessert cafe, opened in a quiet rural village, where elders who know the taste of life and the bakery family who know the taste of happiness share sweet comfort and warmth. In particular, it is drawing attention with a star-studded casting lineup that rivals most drama casts, including actors Cha Seung-won, Kim Hee-ae, Kim Seon-ho and Lee Ki Taek.
They will be divided into the hall team led by Kim Hee-ae with Kim Seon-ho and the chef team led by Cha Seung-won with Lee Ki Taek, and will be active in those roles. Curiosity is aroused over how Cha Seung-won's delicate baking skills will pair with the meticulous service of Kim Hee-ae and Kim Seon-ho.
In particular, "Bonjour Bakery" increases expectations not only for its casting but also for its dazzling production team lineup. That is because Park Geun-hyung, producer of tvN's You Quiz on the Block and Spain's Guesthouse, and Kim Ran-joo, writer of MBC's Infinite Challenge, reunited for this work after Spain's Guesthouse.
Regarding this, writer Kim Ran-joo said "'Bonjour Bakery' was conceived from the memory of my father from the countryside smiling brightly at the first dessert he had ever tasted after coming to the city. Seeing him, like a child, delighted by a dessert that cost only a few thousand won made me realize that elders' happiness is more modest than expected," explaining the planning intent.
Additionally, producer Park Geun-hyung emphasized, "Our goal was to provide elders with a special experience through French desserts made with healthy ingredients from our land, and to have those who eat them become fully happy and share warm comfort."
