Group Billlie is heating up comeback excitement with surreal visuals ahead of the release of their first full-length album.
Billlie's first full-length album 'the collective soul and unconscious: chapter two' will be released simultaneously worldwide on various music sites on May 6.
Meanwhile, Billlie (Siyun, Sean, Tsuki, MunsuA, Haram, Soohyun, Haruna) on the 21st released on their official YouTube channel the video CARTOGRAPHY OF THE UNCONSCIOUS for the sub-title track 'WORK' from the first full-length album 'the collective soul and unconscious: chapter two' (the collective soul and unconscious: chapter two).
The newly unveiled track 'WORK' is a hybrid genre that builds on the framework of bass house with the rough texture of industrial hip-hop added. In particular, member MunsuA participated directly in the lyrics, embedding "unbending will" into the words, and Billlie's destructive and vibrant vocals, departing from the previously smooth pop style, leave an electrifying impression.
The released video shows the essence of Billlie's distinctive worldview, "Billiverse" (Billlie + universe). In the video, the character 'glau', closely tied to Billlie's narrative, appears and seizes attention. Following glau's gaze, which seems to pierce through everything, a surreal world flipped 180 degrees up and down unfolds, creating an overwhelming mood.
Especially symbolic objects such as a mantis fighting for survival trapped in a glass bottle and a figure surrounded by a crowd against a black-and-white background visually magnified the message about "self-awareness." This shows Billlie's unique narrative structure in which music, video and storytelling are organically combined, stimulating fans' curiosity.
This new release is especially meaningful as it is Billlie's first full-length album since their debut. It signals a more expanded worldview and highly completed music as a continuation of their previous mini album 2.
