The Boys, who notified One Hundred of termination of exclusive contracts citing unpaid settlements and other reasons, filed a complaint against Cha Ga-won on suspicion of embezzlement.
On the 21st, according to The Boys, they recently filed a complaint through legal representatives accusing Cha Ga-won of violating the Act on Aggravated Punishment, etc. of Specific Economic Crimes (embezzlement).
Earlier on Feb. 10, 2026, the legal representatives of The Boys members Sangyeon, Jacob, Younghoon, Hyunjae, Juyeon, Kevin, Q, Sunwoo, and Eric, excluding member New, issued an official statement saying "we notified One Hundred Label of termination of the exclusive contract on Feb. 10, 2026, due to One Hundred Label's serious breach of the exclusive contract and the resulting irreparable damage to the relationship of trust, and therefore inform that the said exclusive contract was lawfully terminated and its effect has ended."
The Boys said, "Since the payment of settlement money in the second quarter of 2025, the agency has not paid normal settlement money to the artists for all activities from July 2025. In addition, although the artists repeatedly requested to review basic materials such as the contract to verify the transparency of the settlements, the agency refused without justifiable reason, abandoning the management company's basic and essential duties under the exclusive contract."
They added, "Recent media reports revealed circumstances in which the agency received advance payments amounting to hundreds of billions of won based on the artists' entertainment activities," and said the reason for notifying termination of the exclusive contract was, "nevertheless, the agency has not provided any responsible explanation or a plausible account for the current situation in which settlement money has not been paid to the artists."
In particular, in addition to The Boys, Lim Woo-jin, VV, and Lee Seung Gi have notified One Hundred of contract termination, leading to a large-scale departure. In addition, Cha Ga-won is also facing additional accusations that she proposed joint ventures to related industry parties using agency artists, received advance payments, and did not carry out the business.
However, One Hundred replied, "We entered into contracts by paying large exclusive contract fees per member on the premise that all 11 members of The Boys would comply with the contract period and promote as one team. But last year that premise was broken by various controversies involving members, which led to a member leaving the team and made normal team activities difficult. Nevertheless, we persuaded affiliated companies that suffered losses and tried to maintain group activities while absorbing large deficits. We cannot accept the Boys members' demands for termination of exclusive contracts raised while ignoring this situation."
Accordingly, The Boys filed a complaint with the Seoul Central District Court, and on the 20th the first hearing was held in the provisional injunction lawsuit to suspend the effect of the exclusive contract between The Boys and One Hundred Label. In addition, as The Boys filed a criminal complaint accusing Cha Ga-won of embezzlement, the legal dispute is expected to continue.
Meanwhile, New of The Boys said that after consultations with the members he intends to maintain his exclusive contract with One Hundred. He is currently appearing in the musical "Romeo and Juliet" at the KEPCO Art Center.<
