That day the two candidly revealed the circumstances that first brought up divorce. Yu Kkaet-ip recalled feeling hurt at the time, saying, "I went to a close younger sibling's wedding and came home late, and he scolded me a lot even in front of other friends," and "I wondered how little he must think of me to act like that." She continued, "My ex-husband brought up divorce first. So I said we should get a divorce too," explaining the background to their split in 2020 in their fifth year of marriage.
Choi Gyo-gi also recalled the time. He said, "I was angry when I suddenly received a schedule notification. I asked to talk, but during the call she just went inside," and revealed, "After my friend left, I was talking with my ex-wife and said, 'I think we need to get a divorce.' And the next day we parted immediately."
Above all, the issues that drew the most attention were property division and custody. Yu Kkaet-ip calmly said, "I did not receive any property division. I left the house empty-handed." She also frankly explained why she gave custody of her young daughter to Choi Gyo-gi.
