BTS J-Hope received news of his maternal grandmother's death during a concert in Japan but finished the remaining shows without incident.
On the 20th, J-Hope posted several photos with the caption BTS WORLD TOUR "ARIRANG". TOKYO.
The released photos show J-Hope performing at BTS' world tour stop in Tokyo, Japan. After finishing the show in front of tens of thousands of fans, J-Hope walked through the rainy streets of Japan with member V, and later ate a steak dish. In the final photo, he was seen crying profusely, drawing attention.
Earlier, J-Hope suffered the loss of his maternal grandmother, evoking sympathy.
During the Tokyo Dome concert, J-Hope said, "After arriving in Japan, I received the news that the grandmother who raised me since I was young passed away. I was really shocked and thrown off. Still, having a meal with the members and preparing for the concert helped calm much of my bewilderment."
He continued, "My maternal grandmother was always very proud not only of me but of the members as well. If she watched today's performance from heaven, she would have been very happy. I thank ARMY for making this stage more meaningful. I'm really okay," and he continued to give his best on stage until the end.
Meanwhile, after finishing their dates in Japan, BTS are scheduled to continue their North American tour at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa on the 25th, 26th and 28th.
