'Death Game 2: The Final Winner' revealed the contestants' unusual determination and resolve ahead of the season 2 release.
Netflix (Netflix) daily variety show 'Death Game 2: The Final Winner' (directed by Kwon Dae-hyun, produced by TEO, hereafter Death Game 2) will be released at 5 p.m. on the 22nd (Wednesday), already raising curiosity.
'Death Game 2' is a brainy final match that determines a single ultimate winner each week in a tournament format. Hong Jin-ho, DinDin, IVE Ga-eul, Pengsu, Park Sung-woong, Seo Chul-gu, Yurisa, Heo Seong-beom and others who were active in season 1 have gathered again to compete in a tournament based on the number of seeds, the trophy of victory.
In this regard, the Death Game 2 side released written interviews with the contestants. The contestants recalled impressive moments from season 1 and expressed their determination for season 2, forecasting another fierce battle of wits.
Hong Jin-ho, DinDin and Ga-eul, who had two consecutive wins in season 1, expressed determination that they would "do better than last season," while Yurisa and Heo Seong-beom, who were unfortunately eliminated, expressed the will to "climb to the end with the mindset that elimination means the end."
The performance of the new cast is also a viewing point. Travel YouTuber KwakTube, Single's Inferno alum Park Hee-seon, and KiiiKiii Jiyu join as new faces, igniting the competitive dynamic. KwakTube, Park Hee-seon and Jiyu said they binge-watched season 1 to understand the flow of the games and collectively declared they would "show unpredictable play."

Q1. Who is the most memorable moment or opponent from season 1? Please tell us why.
Hong Jin-ho: Personally, the first match I played against Lee Sedol is the most memorable. Although Lee Sedol was in a different field from me, everyone recognizes him as a top player. So the mix of anticipation and worry before the match against Lee Sedol is the moment that stands out most in my memory.
DinDin: The 'Doubles plan' game I played against Heo Seong-beom is memorable. I predicted the card my opponent would play and called double, and the thrill when that prediction was correct is unforgettable.
Ga-eul: The match against lawyer Yang Na-rae is memorable. I remember being especially nervous in that match, and the lawyer was extremely careful as well. During the silence as the game continued, a fierce mind game unfolded, and that tension is still vivid. Above all, playing a brain game with the lawyer was an experience I couldn't easily have in daily life, so it was extremely exciting and fun.
Pengsu: The tense mind game with senior Yurisa is memorable. During the 'Love wins all' game, when senior Yurisa bluffed with two loves, I folded with an animal instinct, and watching the broadcast was very thrilling.
Park Sung-woong: The moment I played the 'mine of oblivion' game with lawyer Yang Na-rae is memorable. At the time, I had only one treasure left, and while heading straight I turned left once to get a mine score, a choice I regretted the whole time while watching the broadcast. I kept thinking, 'If only it hadn't been that.'
Seo Chul-gu: During the 'Suspects' game match with DinDin hyung, the moments when I shouted 'arrest impossible' are memorable. Both DinDin hyung and I were carefully watching each other's cues, but I said 'I can't stand it' and first shouted 'arrest impossible.' The feeling when the dealer told us it was correct is still unforgettable. It was an especially impressive match because bold play worked better than my usual passive strategy.
Yurisa: In season 1 I was eliminated in one game, which was very disappointing. Many contestants I wanted to face afterward appeared, and many fun-looking games came up, so I felt very regretful even while watching the broadcast. If given another chance, I would like a revenge match with Pengsu.
Heo Seong-beom: DinDin hyung. He is such an excellent and fun player that he remains memorable. I knew he was funny, but he showed that side so well during the match that I became an even bigger fan. I am originally a player who quietly concentrates on the game, but flowing with him sometimes made me feel dragged along. He is a fun player who is good at psychological warfare and has ability, so I liked him.
Q2. Please tell us your mindset and determination for season 2.
Hong Jin-ho: Fortunately, having achieved two consecutive wins in season 1, I am eager to get even better results in season 2. I believe momentum is very important in competition, so winning the first match and maintaining a winning streak seems to be the biggest key. This season, I will try to overcome whoever my opponent is.
DinDin: I want to show improvement compared with how I appeared in season 1. Survival programs feel like 'Death Game' is the first and probably the last for me, so I want to finish well.
Ga-eul: Even after season 1 ended, the matches kept coming to mind, leaving a strong aftereffect. Because there aren't many opportunities to play matches so immersed in daily life, I am excited to feel that tension and thrill again. Now that I have another chance, I will plan my strategy more thoroughly and go higher than last season to show a better side. Fighting!
Pengsu: I will shake up the Death Game board like a big fish in a small pond.
Park Sung-woong: I will approach with the determination to become the winner of the loser's revival round. Whoever the opponent is, the only real opponent is myself.
Seo Chul-gu: I will enjoy the matches. Winning is the most fun.
Yurisa: I was eliminated in one game in season 1, which was very disappointing. Many contestants I wanted to face afterward appeared, and many fun-looking games came up, so I felt very regretful while watching the broadcast. In season 2, I will climb to the end with the mindset that elimination means the end.
Heo Seong-beom: Although I have past survival experience, I feel I have finally developed some perspective on watching games. Not much time has passed since filming season 1, but I realized a lot in the meantime and feel I have grown greatly in terms of gameplay, so I want to show that. I will be a player who pursues a 'meaningful victory' while delivering multi-faceted entertainment to viewers.
