The viewing points for Wanna One's reality WANNA ONE GO: Back to Base (hereafter "Wanna One Go: Back to Base"), returning after seven years, have been released.
Global K-pop content platform Mnet Plus on the 21st conveyed the background of the reality show's planning and the atmosphere on set through a written interview with the production team for "Wanna One Go: Back to Base." A surprise spoiler related to the B-Side video of Wanna One's first reunion, which will be released at 6 p.m. that day, was also revealed, raising expectations.
The production team cited the members' "sincerity" as the biggest viewing point of the program. They explained that the program began from the members' strong desire "to meet fans once again through a reality show." The title "Back to Base" also carries the meaning that members who had continued individual activities from their respective positions returned to one home (Base) as Wanna One again. The natural and honest appearances shown by those who have walked their own paths for a long time are expected to become the season's core narrative.
Regarding the long-awaited reunion, the production team said, "We were worried that much time had passed and they might be awkward with each other, but as soon as the first shoot started, that concern quickly disappeared," conveying the on-site atmosphere. They added, "I was most impressed that Wanna One is still Wanna One. The members were still boisterous, and their 'true friend' chemistry and variety show sensibilities remained intact. The members themselves treasured this time and approached the shoot earnestly, so that cheerful energy will be delivered to viewers as is," pointing out the viewing points.
The stories of Kang Daniel and Lai Kuan-lin, who regrettably could not participate in the opening ceremony, were also previewed. The production team said, "You will be able to see the two members through the broadcast. The starting point is contained in the B-Side video released today," increasing curiosity.
