The group TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT) rewrote a historic 'first' on Japan's Oricon chart.
On the 21st, according to Japan's Oricon, TOMORROW X TOGETHER (Soobin, Yeonjun, Beomgyu, Taehyun, Hueningkai)'s mini 8th album "7TH YEAR: 가시덤불에 잠시 바람이 멈췄을 때" sold 230,000 copies in its first week and shot to the top of the latest weekly album ranking (April 27 issue).
With this, TOMORROW X TOGETHER became the first overseas artist in history to place 14 consecutive releases at No. 1 on Oricon's weekly album ranking. Since first reaching the top in 2020, they have continued to break their own record for the most consecutive No. 1s with each album.
The craze for the new album's title track "Harue Haruman Deo (Stick With You)" is also intense. The song held the top spot on Japan's Line Music daily song chart for four consecutive days, showing the local fandom's powerful support.
Not only in Japan but their domestic chart performance is also noteworthy. The title track went straight to No. 1 on Bugs' daily chart on the day of its release and then swept the weekly chart, and it has steadily entered Melon's Top 100, putting it on a long-running hit trajectory.
This album is significant in that the members reflected sincere emotions they felt over seven years since debut. The title track "Harue Haruman Deo (Stick With You)", which contains the poignant desire to hold on to a love that is coming to an end, is interpreted as the members' unbending will toward their dreams and resonates with listeners.
In particular, TOMORROW X TOGETHER has been fully demonstrating their prowess as a "performance force" by showing stable vocal ability befitting eighth-year artists, delicate facial acting and relaxed stage manners in recent music show performances.
Having written a 'career high' by growing with each album, TOMORROW X TOGETHER's every move in this promotion is attracting attention in the music industry as to what records they will leave this time.<
