Singer and actress Nana will appear as a witness at the trial over the home-invasion robbery.
On the 21st, the 1st criminal division (D) of Uijeongbu District Court Namyangju Branch will hold the third hearing for A, who was detained and indicted on charges of robbery and injury.
Nana and Nana's mother, who suffered damage from the robbery, are scheduled to appear as witnesses at this hearing. Nana, who had difficulty appearing as a witness because of official schedules, adjusted her schedule and decided to attend the trial.
In this regard, Nana posted on social media last month, "I'll be back safe. Many of you are very worried, but don't worry. I'll do well and return," and said, "I swear to tell only the facts as they are. I'll see well how well you act," expressing her feelings.
Earlier, Nana suffered harm from a robber who entered her home last November carrying a weapon, and at the time A threatened her while demanding valuables. After a physical struggle, Nana and her mother subdued the robber themselves and handed him over to the police.
In the process, Nana's mother suffered an injury to her neck from choking, and the robber also suffered a laceration to his jaw during the subduing, but the police judged this to be self-defense and did not book Nana's side.
However, A filed a complaint claiming that the acts Nana committed during the subduing amounted to attempted murder and special injury, and the Guri Police Station in Gyeonggi reviewed Nana's actions as self-defense and decided not to forward the case, citing no charges.
At the first hearing, A acknowledged the home intrusion but denied the charges, reportedly arguing, "there was no intent to rob," "I did not carry a weapon," and "there was no assault."
