YouTuber Eom Eun-hyang again bowed her head over the controversy surrounding writer Im Seong-han's live broadcast.
On the 20th, Eom Eun-hyang posted a long message on her YouTube channel community and apologized, saying, "I drew attention by having writer Im Seong-han as a guest on the broadcast and ultimately conducted it via a phone consolidation," and added, "It all happened because of my greed."
She went on to say, "Regarding the part where I said YouTubers have to draw attention and the remark that her face would appear, I never intended to pick a fight with viewers," and explained, "It was a joke intended to ease the mood, but it was an inappropriate setting and conduct."
She also said, "Because the promised call time with the writer was 15 minutes, I planned to warm up before immediately consolidating," and added, "Since it was my first live, I wanted to have time to engage with subscribers, but I realized immediately after the broadcast that the composition was inappropriate and different from the promotion."
Eom Eun-hyang described the situation at the time, saying, "It felt like driving a train with a broken wheel," and acknowledged, "Ultimately it was because of my inexperience and shortcomings." She also addressed the controversy over deleting comments, saying, "Even well-intentioned advice can stab like a knife if repeated," and asked, "Please understand it was an immature mental coping method."
Earlier, on the 17th, Eom Eun-hyang had announced writer Im Seong-han would appear on the live broadcast, but the writer did not appear in person for about an hour and the program proceeded as a phone interview, sparking viewers' backlash. Afterwards, she also stirred controversy by saying something to the effect of "If you are a YouTuber, drawing attention is a professional role."

Hello everyone. This is Eom Eun-hyang of the Eom Eun-hyang channel. I am posting this because I have something to say about last Friday's live broadcast.
First, I apologize for drawing attention by advertising writer Im Seong-han as a guest and ultimately having it be a phone consolidation. Were you very angry? It all happened because of my greed.
Also, I said that YouTubers have to draw attention and that I never said her face would appear. I worry that this part may not be well conveyed in writing, but I will write exactly what I thought.
In that situation, there was an opinion that I was trying to pick a fight with viewers. That is not true. It was something I usually do to ease the mood with a joking remark, but it was inappropriate to use it in that setting and conduct. I sympathize with and apologize for crossing the line with a joke before sufficient rapport and trust had been built with viewers.
The broadcast time I promised the writer was 15 minutes. I decided it would be better to warm up and then consolidate rather than immediately connecting by phone and ending after 15 minutes, so I said I would call at 9. That warm-up time was also my first live meeting with subscribers, so I intended it as time for communication, but I realized immediately after the broadcast that the composition was inappropriate and very different from the promoted content. Also, due to various initial system problems and failed jokes, the broadcast went differently from the direction I had in mind, and I think tensions probably built up.
Why is it that in life there are days when everything goes wrong and things go astray from my intentions? It felt like being the driver of a train with a broken wheel, a strange day when the excited sympathetic nerves would not stop. That day was like that for me. But I clearly acknowledge that is also part of me. Ultimately it was my inexperience and shortcomings. I agree with the criticisms.
In addition, I will give my honest opinion about deleting comments.
Good words may become dull if heard many times, but words meant as advice or the opposite of praise can accumulate and become a knife. Many offered encouraging advice, but there were also many comments that were not. However, I did not simply dismiss the intended meaning as malicious comments and delete them thinking I was entirely right, so I would appreciate it if you view this as an immature way for a human to cope mentally.
Finally, during the live broadcast writer Im Seong-han guided things well. I was moved as someone who dreams of a similar profession by her precious sincere words.
