Comedian and actress Baek Bo-ram candidly spoke about how her current financial situation has changed from when she used to earn 200 million won a month.
On the 19th, a video titled "First reveal! Wootsasa's Baek Bo-ram's update after 20 years — she used to earn 200 million won a month from a shopping mall!" was posted on the YouTube channel 'NamuMiki Detective Agency.'
In the video, Baek Bo-ram, sharing her update after about 10 years, said, "I spent all that money. Haven't I rested for too long?" and added, "I did a little drama, but it didn't make money, and the shopping mall has been closed for a long time."
She, who in the past earned up to 200 million won a month from her shopping mall business, said, "Now there's really nothing left. There were things I was still using. Living without thinking brought me to where I am today," and confessed, "My bank account is currently overdrawn," drawing attention.
She also explained why she wound down the shopping mall. Baek Bo-ram said, "As large companies multiplied, price competition became impossible. If I tried to match prices, I ran at a loss," and explained, "It cost a lot even in the process of closing down."
She added the burden at the time of business closure, saying, "We refunded members and cleaned up various things, so costs were substantial."
Regarding the 'rumor that she lives in Cheongdam-dong,' she directly denied it, saying, "I live in a hilly neighborhood," and when suggested to "change houses," she responded, "I have mortgage debt on my house; is that all right?" which provoked laughter.
Meanwhile, Baek Bo-ram debuted in 2003 with the group Morning, gained recognition through SBS's Wootsasa and MBC's Infinite Girls, and later drew attention as a celebrity who succeeded with a shopping mall business.
