TOMORROW X TOGETHER proved an unstoppable rise.
On the 20th, according to the announcement by Hanteo Chart, a record sales tally site, TOMORROW X TOGETHER's recently released mini album No. 8 "7TH YEAR: When the wind briefly stopped in the thornbush" sold 1,806,740 copies in its first week of release (April 13–19) and topped the weekly album chart.
This comfortably exceeded the previous first-week sales record set by the full album 4 "The Stars' Chapter: TOGETHER" (1,760,867). In particular, the new release sold more than 1.36 million copies on its release day alone, immediately entering the ranks of million sellers, and with this they have built a dazzling milestone of being "first-week million sellers" for seven consecutive albums.
Upon comeback, TOMORROW X TOGETHER swept music shows starting with Mnet's "M Countdown" and including KBS2 MUSIC BANK, MBC Show! Music Core, and SBS INKIGAYO, delivering a spectacular stage for the title track "One more day a day (Stick With You)." Through broadcast interviews, the members said, "This album honestly captures feelings and emotions from seven years since our debut. Thanks to the fans who support us, we are working hard in our promotions. Please watch over us until the end," expressing special love for their fans.
The performances unveiled on music shows have been earning enthusiastic public responses day after day. The "teutting" move, which delicately bends the arms and finger joints, amplifies the song's sorrow, while the kicking choreography that fully utilizes the members' outstanding physiques has been dubbed the "long-leg show-off dance" on various short-form platforms and is spreading by word of mouth. Eight years into their debut, their seasoned solid live vocals and compelling facial acting, together with the fluorescent thorn set visualizing the new album concept, perfectly combined to complete a stage like a work of art.
The heated response to the performances quickly translated into strong showing on music charts. The title track held the No. 1 spot on Bugs' daily chart for six consecutive days from the 13th to the 18th, and during the same period it also entered Melon's daily "Top 100." Composed of six tracks, the new release landed at No. 2 on Japan's Oricon latest "Daily album ranking" (April 18). This album, which entered the chart at No. 1 on the April 14 chart, reclaimed the top spot again on the April 17 chart, showing signs of long-term success in the local market.
Meanwhile, TOMORROW X TOGETHER are meeting fans offstage with diverse content. Showing hidden wit on popular YouTube variety shows such as "PIXID," "UV recording studio," and "Idol human theater," they plan to appear one after another, starting with MBC FM4U "Kim Ina's a starry night" on the 21st, YouTube "Halmyeongsu" on the 24th, and KBS 2TV "The owner's ears are donkey ears" on the 26th, continuing all-around activities.
