On My Little Old Boy actor Kim Jongmin and Heo Kyunghwan met Yang Chi-seung, the gym owner who is getting back on his feet after the ordeal of a 1.5 billion won fraud loss.
On the 19th broadcast of SBS My Little Old Boy (hereafter "My Little Old Boy"), Yang Chi-seung's shocking recent condition, who closed his gym after suffering a 1.5 billion won loss, was revealed.
Yang Chi-seung said he closed the gym he had grown attached to and became a community facility manager at a luxury APT. When asked about the scale of the damage, he said, "Actually, on the broadcast I said 1.5 billion won, but I couldn't even get the key money. I refunded members. I paid lawyer fees," explaining that the actual damage was more than 1.5 billion won.
Yang Chi-seung confessed that he fought a desperate battle to cope with the damage, saying, "I even took out an APT. mortgage loan and I'm still paying the interest. I even sold my car to refund members," conveying the urgency of the time. As a result, his income, when he was once a thriving gym owner, has now dropped to about one-tenth of what it used to be.
What made Yang Chi-seung smile again amid the unfair situation was the sincere help of actress Park Hana. Yang Chi-seung recalled, "There was actress Park Hana who helped at the time. On the day of the closure she was organizing things. She said, 'Let's have lunch together. Just send me the manager's account,'" recalling the time.
He added, "(With the account) she called for 30 minutes. She did it reluctantly. What I'm so thankful for is that the refund was a little short," revealing that the cash Park Hana handed over was decisive in settling the members' refunds and showing a choked-up moment.
