The group BTS is expanding the scale of the city-based cultural festival 'BTS THE CITY ARIRANG' (hereafter the City Arirang) to a global level.
According to the announcement made through the fan community Weverse on the 20th, this special project will color Las Vegas in the United States in May and Busan, Korea in June.
'The City Arirang' is a large-scale spatial project that realizes BTS's musical narrative throughout host cities by combining it with media art. It opened its first chapter in Seoul last month on the 20th, coinciding with the comeback of the fifth full-length album 'Arirang', and now it will vary programs to match the unique characteristics of each city to create the best synergy with the local area while continuously providing distinctive experiences.
The Las Vegas events will take place from May 20 to 31 local time. In particular, they will maximize synergy with the world tour schedule held at Allegiant Stadium for four shows (May 23–24, 27–28).
There will also be plenty of attractions based on close collaboration with well-known local brands. From the 20th, 'IP hotel' accommodations decorated in BTS themes will begin, and fans can look forward to F&B collaborations with global dining companies and official after-parties at famous clubs that will keep the excitement going all night.
The visual thrills are also expected to be overwhelming. The Strip area, a representative tourist and commercial district of Las Vegas, and major landmarks symbolizing the city will be covered in intense red lighting, the main color of this album. Giant electronic billboards will also be filled with messages welcoming BTS's arrival. In addition, major spaces will be transformed into stages for 'the City Arirang'.
From June 5 to 21, the craze returns home and continues in Busan. Leading off with concerts at Busan Asiad Main Stadium on June 12 and 13, unique cultural experience courses that can be enjoyed while touring the entire city will be activated.
Detailed information about the programs and schedules of 'the City Arirang' to be held in Las Vegas and Busan will be announced sequentially later through Weverse.
