Physician and broadcaster Yeoh Esther drew laughs with a candid remark befitting 33 years of marriage.
A recent video titled "Because of Esther I'm so happy...♥ | Yeoh-Hong couple's catching-up talk after 10 days apart" was posted on the YouTube channel "Esther TV by Yeoh Esther."
The released video showed Yeoh Esther and Hong Hye-geol, who had been busy traveling between Seoul and Jeju, reunited after 10 days, enjoying wine with a meal and conversing.
When the producers brought up a past story involving a certain announcer, Hong Hye-geol strongly denied it, saying, "I'm really baffled. There was nothing between that person and me."
Yeoh Esther then directly mentioned the situation at the time. She said, "Someone told me they had filmed that announcer supporting Hye-geol, who is weak with alcohol, at a company dinner," drawing attention. Hong Hye-geol responded, "No. I'm truly innocent. That person is really a fine person," but acknowledged, "I think I was a bit over the top after drinking," which drew laughter.
Above all, Yeoh Esther's remark turned the mood around. She said, "After 33 years of being married, I think it's okay to allow each other a bit of flirtation," surprising everyone. Hong Hye-geol chimed in with "That's right," keeping their cheerful chemistry going.
When the producers mentioned Yeoh Esther's past relationship with Ham Ik-byung, Hong Hye-geol said, "I think Mr. Ham had about a 6, and my wife about a 4 level of interest," provoking another round of laughter. Yeoh Esther fired back, "The sun has set and Hye-geol can't carry me, but a tall young man can—wouldn't you want to be carried?" showcasing her wit.
Meanwhile, Yeoh Esther and Hong Hye-geol, a couple married 33 years, have recently spent time apart due to their individual schedules and are now spending time together again, showing their unchanged couple chemistry.
