Yumi (Kim Go-eun) finally told Sun-rok (Kim Jaewon) to please talk first.
Episode 3 of the TVing original 'Yumi's Cells' (directed by Lee Sang-yeob, written by Song Jae-jung·Kim Kyung-ran, provided by TVing), which aired on the 20th, showed Yumi (Kim Go-eun) stepping forward to ask Sun-rok (Kim Jaewon) to talk.
That day was portrayed from Sun-rok's and Sun-rok's cells' point of view, not Yumi's. Sun-rok's rational cell, reading Yumi's line 'a person in love cannot be calm,' said, "Sorry, what are you talking about," unable to understand.
This was because homebody Sun-rok had been working outside the house for so long that he had completely drained his energy. Eventually, after reading the script, Sun-rok tried to avoid the crisis by bringing up a Maltese when Yumi, who asked if he had nothing to say, asked him.
However, to Yumi, who loves Maltese dogs, demeaning the Maltese sounded like an argument aimed at her, which provoked regret.
Afterward, Yumi misinterpreted all of Sun-rok's words and actions negatively. One weekend, while she was on a business trip for a book talk, Yumi approached Sun-rok first and asked, "Don't you want to work with me?"
Sun-rok explained, "Didn't you hear from the editor-in-chief?" saying he was leaving the team due to a scheduling issue, but Yumi said, "I want to hear the real reason," throwing both Sun-rok and Sun-rok's rational cell into a state of meltdown.
Sun-rok could not answer further and, at that moment, got off the train to take a call from the editor-in-chief and was left behind. Watching Sun-rok, Yumi muttered discontentedly, "What kind of person is he, really," which brought laughter.
Meanwhile, Yumi's Cells is a work adapted into a drama from the popular webtoon of the same name, and in season 3 it deals with a cell-stimulating empathic romance in which Yumi, now a star writer, once again laughs, cries and falls in love because of an unexpected person who appears like a bolt from the blue in her unstimulating daily life.<
