SEVENTEEN member Seungkwan remembered his close friend with a song on the third anniversary of the late Moonbin's death.
On the 19th at Incheon Inspire Arena, SEVENTEEN unit Dokyeom X Seungkwan's first solo tour 'DxS [Soya-gok] on stage - INCHEON' was held.
On the day that marked three years since the late Moonbin passed away, Seungkwan paid tribute by singing "Dandelion," a song he wrote in memory of Moonbin, during his solo stage.
After the performance Seungkwan, who showed tears, said of the "Dandelion" stage, "I wrote this song for Bin, whom I loved so much," and noted, "Coincidentally, today is my friend Bin's anniversary of death. Before I knew it, three years have passed."
He added, "I wanted to help people remember even one more time," and said, "I think he is watching over me well," adding to the poignancy.
Earlier, Seungkwan appeared on a YouTube channel and explained why he likes "Dandelion," saying, "My precious friend once took a picture of dandelion seeds and posted it with a caption," and added, "That message struck me deeply, and from then on I began to write the song 'Dandelion.' From that time, dandelion became one of my keywords."
He continued, "Before then I had never seen dandelion seeds drifting, but after seeing that post and writing 'Dandelion,' I began to see them when I was driving and when I sang at concerts. It is a very precious flower to me," he added.
Meanwhile, Moonbin passed away on April 19, 2023. He was 25.
