Former announcer Kim So-young spoke out herself about her husband Oh Sang-jin's 'stoic' reaction.
On the 20th, Kim So-young shared an update on her social media with a post titled "today's TMI."
In the published post, Kim So-young mentioned Oh Sang-jin caring for their second son and said, "The house and the postpartum care center are fairly far apart, so I told him he didn't have to come today, but I made it very obvious that I was lonely and bored." She added, "We decided he wouldn't come and ended the currency, but a few hours later he showed up as a surprise."
But what followed was different from what she expected. Kim So-young said, "I thought he would say, 'I came because I missed you,' but other than saying, 'Oh, I'm tired,' he kept silent," she said, drawing laughter.
She also directly addressed the recently raised 'stoic' reactions. Kim So-young said, "There are many comments on YouTube saying he is stoic," and added, "He spent two days taking care of our first child alone, did broadcasts, went back and forth to the postpartum care center, worked hard as hard as anyone, but our family's head can't do lip service."
She added, "I felt today, too, that he is quite a unique person," expressing affection for her husband.
Earlier, some reactions to the birth vlog posted on Kim So-young's YouTube channel criticized Oh Sang-jin's attitude, saying, "Why is he so prickly?" and "I feel hurt just watching," but supportive comments such as "It feels more familiar because they are a real couple" and "Both of them worked hard" also followed.
Meanwhile, Kim So-young and Oh Sang-jin met as senior and junior announcers at Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) and married in 2017; after their first daughter in 2019, they welcomed their second son on the 3rd.
