Singer Jamie (real name Park Ji-min) revealed a moment of regret related to a past public relationship.
On the 19th, a video titled "Vocalist who was K-pop Star winner Park Ji-min [털보는낮술중] EP.151" was posted on the YouTube channel '대니초'.
When Jamie was asked, "A cringe moment: is there anything people (about Jamie) wish this memory would disappear?", she recalled, "I had a public relationship. I guess I wanted to try a stylish public relationship. I always hid it and met at home.. then I left the company and felt free, I thought I was a burning twenty, but I just burned out," which drew laughter as she reminisced about the past.
Then, when asked, "Is it true (that the ex-boyfriend cheated)?", Jamie said, "Saying that is my cringe moment. I could have just said we broke up amicably, but I went into such detail about breaking up because of this, saying I wished you were dead, all those long-winded things were so unglamorous," she said honestly.
She added, "If I went back, I wouldn't start a public relationship to begin with."
To the question "Was your health getting worse because of the ex-boyfriend?" she replied no and said, "I cut him off the moment I saw (the cheating)."
In 2023, Jamie caused a stir by posting a message that seemed to hint at her publicly dating boyfriend's cheating.
At the time, he posted on his Instagram story, "When you find out your boyfriend was a womanizer," and wrote, "I think I could make a really good song about this." He added, "He doesn't know this yet. But he is clearly leaving my life. Did you have fun with four to five other women?" and, "Please don't blame him. That's just that man."
Although she did not mention the man's name, many netizens speculated that Jamie was referring to Gu Min-chul, who was publicly dating her, is a former member of the Republic of Korea Navy Special Warfare Flotilla (UDT), and gained recognition after appearing on the Channel A variety show The Iron Squad 2. In addition, Jamie had deleted all couple photos with Gu Min-chul that she had posted on her social media.
Meanwhile, Jamie won SBS' K-pop Star season 1 in 2012 and also performed as part of 15& with singer Yerin Baek. In 2020 she changed her stage name to Jamie.
