(continuing interview ①) 'The Ballad of Us' TOP6 Song Ji-woo shared her thoughts on promoting the song 'Spring Rain' on music shows.
Recently, at the OSEN office in Mapo-gu, Seoul, an interview was held with SBS 'The Ballad of Us' TOP6 Lee Ye-ji, Lee Ji-hoon and Song Ji-woo.
Earlier, Song Ji-woo, as the first artist in SM C&C 708090 remake project 'SM:ALL ROOM', attracted attention by releasing a remake of Lee Eun-ha's classic 'Spring Rain (Spring Rain)' on the 10th of last month.
After promoting on music shows for the first time, Song Ji-woo confessed, "Music shows are scarier places than I thought. It really felt like I had officially debuted now," and added, "When I went to the music shows, the 'The Ballad of Us' friends weren't there, and to be honest I felt a little lonely. Still, the friends came to cheer me on once in a while, so I think I was able to perform without being too nervous."
When asked about the behind the scenes of the remake album, Song Ji-woo said, "It was an existing song and a classic, so I felt a lot of pressure. I worried that I might ruin this song. Still, I thought that if I kept the atmosphere of the classic but added my own color, people might like it, so I thought a lot about how to sing it comfortably and beautifully, how to sing it comfortably and well," describing her efforts.
Regarding her feelings about collaborating with her first agency after signing an exclusive contract with SM C&C, she expressed satisfaction, saying, "Things I worried about alone were discussed together, and using the practice room with friends stimulates me while practicing. I feel like I'm getting closer to music."
When asked what kind of music she wants to show as a solo singer in the future, she explained, "My voice is my strength and I have been praised for my clear delivery of lyrics, so I would like to participate in OSTs. I think I want to try calm, straightforward songs like writing a letter."
She added, "I want to weave my experiences into songs so others can empathize and the scenes come to life," and expressed her determination: "My goal is to perform multiple times in small theaters with my own songs."
Meanwhile, the 'The Ballad of Us' TOP6, including Lee Ye-ji, Lee Ji-hoon and Song Ji-woo, will hold concerts on May 9 and 10 at Olympic Hall in Olympic Park, Seoul, and will wrap up their national tour.
