Released at 6 p.m. on the 20th across various streaming platforms, Donghae's first full-length album 'ALIVE' is the result of capturing the most dazzling moments and sincere feelings from the long journey Donghae has walked. As the album title suggests, it weaves vibrant music that makes listeners feel "alive" into a single narrative, and Donghae participated in writing and composing 11 of the 13 tracks, consolidating his solid skills as a singer-songwriter.
The title track "해 떴네" connects the image of the rising sun with the symbolic meaning of the name "Donghae," powerfully expressing unstoppable energy and confidence over a Brazilian punk-style synth bass.
Another title track, "Good Day (Feat. Park Jae-beom, 1iL)," is a warm, bright gospel-based pop track. Park Jae-beom and 1iL's distinctive vocals, along with a rich choir sound, gently unfold the hope and positive emotions Donghae wants to convey through this album.
In addition, "Goodbye (Feat. TABLO)," featuring Tablo, deeply completes the narrative of parting; "FLOWER," which compares gratitude toward fans to flowers; and "BEAUTIFUL," which was pre-released at a fan concert and received great love — the 13 tracks spanning pop, hip-hop, rock and ballad are organically connected and offer listeners the immersive feel of a road movie.
