MBC anchor Lim Hyeon-joo shared the news of her daughter's surgery and expressed her heartfelt sorrow.
On the 18th, Lim Hyeon-joo posted on her social media, "Aria's first surgery. I got a call from the daycare in the morning. She fell and injured her face, and when they said we had to go to a big hospital my heart dropped," updating followers.
According to Lim Hyeon-joo, after the accident at the daycare the daughter was taken to a university hospital emergency room, but because no medical staff were available to suture her, she had to be moved to another hospital for surgery.
She added, "They applied local anesthesia to her face, wrapped her body in the operating room and covered her face. I played a children's song and talked to her so she wouldn't be scared," recounting the tense moment.
She especially said, "Seeing Aria, who struggled and finally grew quiet, the tears I had held back streamed down. As a mother I was trembling like this, but the child bravely got through the process," adding to the poignancy.
After the surgery she went straight to a park. Lim Hyeon-joo said, "I wanted to show her nature, so we headed to Yeouido Park," and added, "Aria played and ran around as usual," offering reassurance.
In the photos released, her daughter — who had sutures around her eye after the injury — was shown. Even so, her bright expression as she went about her day drew attention.
Lim Hyeon-joo added, "I'll be more diligent as a mother so the scar doesn't remain as much as possible. I'm truly grateful that such a kind and brave Aria is my daughter," conveying her affectionate feelings.
Meanwhile, Lim Hyeon-joo married British-born writer Danielle in 2023 and has two daughters.
