In 'My Little Old Boy' Kim Jongmin recounted a heartbreaking anecdote about being scammed during his KOYOTE days.
On the 19th episode of the SBS variety show My Little Old Boy (MiuSae) Kim Jongmin opened up about fraud.
On that day, after hearing Yang Chi-seung's fraud story, Heo Kyunghwan said, "I was also seriously scammed a long time ago," and "It was so severe that I felt enlightened, like bankruptcy," describing an unbearable fraud and overwhelming reality, "I even just fell asleep."
At that time, Kim Jongmin also confessed to a fraud story. Kim Jongmin said, "There are so many; there is still a lot of money I haven't received," surprising the mood. Kim Jongmin said, "I was offered a liquor business that contained silkworm cocoons when KOYOTE was starting out in my early 20s," and "It was my entire savings," which was heartbreaking.
He said he started the silkworm cocoon business at the urging of people around him. When asked for more details, Kim Jongmin said, "One day they brought a sample, but a week later they cut off contact," and "The other party fled to the United States."
Later, Kim Jongmin, who said he was scammed in a clothing business in 2006, said, "I put money in; after the investment the clothing business seemed to be doing well, but they said we needed to invest more," and he said he was asked to invest more after news of business expansion, then added, "But after that they didn't contact me; when I investigated I found the investment money had gone to a casino," which was heartbreaking.
It didn't end there. Kim Jongmin, who said he was scammed again in 2007, recalled, "I had to serve alternative military service, and at that time I had a foreign car," and "Because I didn't need it I went to sell the foreign car; they said it sold in one day and asked for the car registration certificate," recalling, "The car was sold but they found the registration certificate later. I gave them the car registration certificate and they stopped contacting me," and "When I checked the vehicle, they had fled abroad," which was heartbreaking.
